Mikalaj Tamaševič

Mikalaj was born in Minsk in 1989 and was brought up to value independence and believe in the future. Mikalaj finished Minsk gymnasium # 13 where he used to get by trolleybus # 13 on which he had to pay BYR 13 thousand of ticket fine all the time. That apparently resulted in 13 being his favourite number. Later on, he graduated from Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics. Studying there, he worked as a journalist in national newspaper Zviazda and independent and foreign Euroradio.

   Mikalaj wrote over 200 articles in three years of his journalist’s career, most of which were devoted to public and cultural issues. He quit his career as a journalist to create and develop the first Belarus-oriented art studio PRAS; his last article in Zviazda newspaper got the 3rd place at professional contest “Free Word” held by the Belarusian Association of Journalists.

   Mikalaj is the author of the electronic reference book “Spadčyna” as well as the co-author and the “engine” of the Belarusian and Litvin chess. At AD.Nak festival (2011), he got the 3rd place for the electronic version of the game in nomination “Belarus-oriented advertising and communications project”. Mikalaj was the most distinguished attendee of web-journalism courses in 2011.

   Mikalaj is interested in history, culture and political philosophy in the context of the country’s design.
