Euroradio: "Just like the Sapiehas and the Radzivils had!"
The most popular project broadcasting in Belarus from abroad admires the new PRAS’ product.
The designers managed to combine historic symbols and everyday need within a simple appliance.
Soap dish "Pinskaje baroka" (Pinsk baroque) was designed by art studio PRAS. The appliance is made of clay and glaze. “I think that this soap dish could be used by a Sapiha or a Radzivil, at least in the 19th century”, designer Aliaksiej Kuĺbicki says. “The soap dish has the following concept. Pinsk region is famous for the largest baroque ensemble in Belarus. The soap dish was made using the forms of these architectural monuments. Palieśsie region is also the land of water. The very essence of the soap dish is connected with water. Thus, this appliance has Belarusian character. The soap dish is absolutely usable”. The studio is planning to start the sales of the soap dish at Y (Ў) gallery not far from Pieramohi square in Minsk at the end of the week.
