New office of art studio PRAS

A small photo excursion to the PRAS's "terrain of attack"

In October 2013, we finally found a place for a new office. The place to refresh our souls and feed our heads. The post-war building close to the parkway near children's music school with first steps in playing the piano, the city detoxification center and thick trees - all these comprise our new exterior. We decorated the interior ourselves. There are no aquariums and photos in glass frames in our office; however, there are a lot of big and small old irons (the oldest of them, which comes from Czech Republic is 170 years old (!)), our numerous works in the sphere of industrial design and many pleasant decoration elements. Please, come in.

As soon as you come in, you will see a chair from non-existent country - Czechoslovakia - made way back in 1963 and saved from fire in 2010. Our designers made it look like a pretty woman and you will not give it more than five years. Taking off your clothes, you can enjoy the one-painting exhibition with a new painting each month.

There are two small libraries in PRAS's office. The first one includes books, discs, postcards and notebooks designed by our studio and things which should always be at hand - here you can look through Lenin's speeches about culture titled "Revolution-Art-Children", leaflet of the Central Committee of the Belarussian Soviet Socialist Republic "Sweet glass - bitter end", magic book by Iina Aasamaa "How to behave", etc. Cat Ihar Valiancinavič works as a librarian and does not let the books fall from the shelf. Below you can see awards and items of industrial design produced by PRAS. The second library is in the Secret room which can be accessed only by our employees. 

There is a special cover with a bicycle on each table to remind that there is no need to invent it, but many other things can be invented. There are plenty of "inspirational things" on the walls - drawings and photos which can make you think, smile or create unique things. Once a month, all these "inspirational things" are changed for new ones - to preserve the waves of creativity within the office.

At the entrance to the Secret room, there is a magnetic sign board with some information for the employees and a few interesting things-ideas that have to be remembered. The ventilation grill is held by a symbolic Guardian-Angel, grills in other places are decorated with fantastic flowers from Belarusian towels and painted wall rungs.
