Aliaksiej Kuĺbicki

Art Director

Aliaksiej was born in Minsk in 1987 - 1988. When he was 5 years old, he expressed interest in the surrounding world; since he was 8 years old and up to the current moment, he has been studying art from Belarusian artists. Aliaksiej became interested in design when he was painting the fence. In 2011, he graduated from Belarusian State University (BSU) and obtained the qualification in the sphere of "web-design and computer graphics". He also attended design and advertising courses at the British Higher School of Art and Design (Moscow, 2010), lectures on packing design and advertising opportunities (Amsterdam, 2011) as well as lectures on creative thinking (Minsk, 2010) and philosophy of modern visual culture (Minsk, 2012).

   Aliaksiej was awarded at Adnak festival of design and art (2011, 2012, 2013), became a finalist of the national photo contest "My Belarus" (2008) and won in “The Best Journalistic Shot” nomination at “Tvoj styĺ” (Your Style) journalism festival (2010).

   Aliaksiej is the author of the electronic reference book on the history of Belarus titled “Spadčyna” and his own philosophy related to every-day Belarusian life. He participated in the following art-projects "Art-buĺba" (Minsk, 2008), "Technoart" (Minsk, 2008), " Biosphere " (Minsk, 2010) and exhibition of lomography in the National Art Museum (Minsk, 2012). Aliaksiej is the author of his own art project "The City of Blue Dreams" (Vilnius, 2010). He designed the best book of 2010 "The Boat of Despair". Aliaksiej developed the electronic government for Voronezh region (Russia, 2011-2012). Since 2013, he has been advising the Belarusian Association of Journalists on information portals.

   Aliaksiej teaches Computer Graphics and Computer Graphics and Animation at BSU.

   He is fond of Belarusian history, photography, literature, philosophy, traveling and washing the dishes.
