Logo and corporate style for “Traditional wild-hive beekeeping” campaign
Corporate style for the campaign which focuses on reviving the tradition of wild-hive beekeeping in Belarus

Calmness of preserved forests and busy hum of bees high in the crown of an ancient oak, unparalleled smell of the wild honey and unusual tools – these are the images of the archaic forest trade, traditional wild-hive beekeeping. This honourable occupation which was known to our ancestors from ancient times, codified in higher laws starting from the “Russian law” and the Statute of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, united under the flags of guilds and communities of wild-hive beekeepers and decayed during the last century s getting a new breath of life today. Communities in social networks and magazines, search for bee hives preserved until now and revival of wild-hive beekeeping – these are the activities of “Traditional wild-hive beekeeping” campaign.

The studio has designed the logo and the corporate style to revive the tradition of wild-hive beekeeping and enhancement of the Belarusian cultural heritage. The main difference from traditional “frame-hive beekeeping” is that the wild-hive is located on a tree, resembles a cavity and attracts wild bees whose honey is more useful for health. We used this characteristic avoiding such symbols as the “bee” and the “jar of honey”.
The general style of the logo refers to the style of engravings and the powerful oak and the traditional wild-hive add to the necessary ancient peculiarity. The shape of the oak’s crown resembles the honeycomb and the amber and bistre colour create the necessary “honey” mood.
We decided to refresh the “traditional” logo with nontraditional means using the photos of wild-hive beekeepers and wild-hives which introduce users to peculiarities of the wild-hive beekeeping and add the necessary interesting feature.
