
Design for contest of young singers “Zaspiavaj.by”
Logo and corporate style for a contest of young singers aimed at promoting Belarusian-speaking performers

We have designed the logo, corporate style, posters, diplomas and cover of the single for the winners of contest “Zaspiavaj.by” (“Заспявай.by”). The contest was attended by young singers below 25 years old who sang new songs with lyrics written by modern Belarusian poets. There is a lot of such literature in Belarus nowadays and that is why the organizers of the contest chose “Everything on its marks!” as the motto which predetermined the implemented design concept.
The microphone is going to take off because “everything is on its marks” – that is the main idea of the logo for the viewer
The logo is to imply that starting to sing in Belarusian is as easy as launching the microphone-rocket which is on its mark and pushing the button is the only thing to do. The design is based on the aesthetics of space discoveries and future – this is the direct reference to the current state of singing songs in the Belarusian language. The shiny metal materials, massive inscription which nevertheless “flies in the air”, scattering of stars and crosses which measure distances help to have the right mood and feelings. The final poster uses different forms of the chosen style to stand out against other posters and winners’ diplomas.
