Tuzin hitoŭ – a substantial music portal

The most famous Belarusian music portal. It contains charts, a lot of news and reviews as well as annual summary of winners and the archive for the 10 years of the website’s existence.

We have developed a huge website – the famous Belarusian portal TUZIN.FM with 10 years reputation. Redesign, layout and programming – everything is as it should be.
   We have spent almost a year working on the website, although the development itself took only six months because a lot of time was devoted to the choice of design. As a result we decided to undertake a complete rebranding and leave only the old logo which had been developed by Anatoĺ Lazar from Adliga studio. We used php platform yii2 for programming and usual high quality and exceptional accuracy for the layout.

The webportal comprises several blocks: news articles, announcements, charts and widgets. The majority of pages are different from each other in terms of several items only, which has simplified structuring. Meanwhile, most challenges were related to the three charts: songs, albums and video. For each chart we were not only to make a corresponding page and to preserve the cross-references in certain sections (“Recommended for download”, “Reviews”, etc.) but also to bring back to use the archive of dozens or even hundreds of charts for the last 10 years.

Tuzin hitoŭ has always been famous for its specific chart voting rules. Thus, a person can vote only once a day and for three musicians at most. That had to be taken into account together with the possibility of vote manipulation. Users of the old version of the website cleaned their browser’s cache, started a new session or simply voted using different computers. We have developed a more intellectual system: a user can vote using his/her account only (the registration confirmation is sent by e-mail which will block false addresses) or Facebook and VKontakte.

On the very first day the website was launched, it was visited by over 13 thousand users from more than 20 countries of the world!

Icons for visitor and comment counters were developed. Comments are accepted from logged in users only. Dynamic CAPTCHA is used for security purposes and swear comments can be deleted by the website administration at its discretion.
   A specially developed html5-player is used which ensures not only listening but also downloading. Video materials are uploaded to Tuzin's page in YouTube.
   The webportal is rich in different statistics, tags and search opportunities which helps to find all necessary information about a performer (for instance, information about concerts on Announcements page). The most interesting materials are displayed both at the beginning (determined by the website’s administrator) and at the end of the page in a special widget (determined by direct statistics).

The colours of the website match Tuzin’s corporate colours.
Yellow colour is used to highlight significant moments and links whereas orange red is used to emphasize the most important things. 

Distances, lines and slabs of colour are used for visual division.
   The design of Tuzin’s account for YouTube also matches the general style of the website.
