“Wedding songs and folktunes from Liavonpaĺ village and its vicinities” is a project created by musician Siaržuk Doŭhušaŭ based on the archive records of poet Siarhej Paniznik. The disk contains over thirty wedding songs and melodies which were played and sung at a genuine wedding. The order of waltzes, polkas, krakowiak and martial music is the same as at the wedding, which helps to plunge into the atmosphere of our grannies and grandpas’ weddings.
The studio faced a challenge: to make modern design and not to “lose” its historical value. The task was solved due to the contrast between old black and white photos taken by the author of the records and areas filled with “light cyan” colour.

The use of simple geometric shapes together with photos results in new meanings.

Two circle-rings on the cover both symbolize wedding rings and display the bride as a saint (the aureola), which emphasizes the new mission and the new assignment for the bride. One more circle unites the couple and symbolizes the family circle. The CD’s design is based on this concept.

The project consists of the dj-pack, the booklet with photos and lyrics and the CD.
