A book of manuscripts by Ryhor Baradulin “Liepiej” (Better)

Cover and CD for the unique book by the people’s poet of Belarus

This edition, conceived and prepared by journalist Hlieb Labadzienka, contains no printed letters. All the materials have been gathered from numerous Ryhor Baradulin’s notepads and include both well-known and absolutely new poems. Moreover, the edition includes an interesting exclusive: accidental records of conversations, drawings by Ryhor Baradulin’s daughter and granddaughter, epigrams about famous people and notes about favourite pet-cats Miron and Rysik.

The studio designed the cover of the book which illustrates the dialog between a young man and an elderly person. It is not hard to recognize Ryhor Baradulin in these people – this is achieved through the combination of the water-colour drawing and the photo by means of computer graphics. This dialog is reflected in the contents of the book – author’s creative work during the period of 61 years, including “early” poems and classical pieces of work, looks as if the poet talks to himself in different periods of time.

Additionally, we prepared audiobook “Liepiej” read by the people’s artist of Belarus Zinaida Bandarenka. The set includes the book with manuscripts, the audiobook, 23 photos in an envelope (the back side of each photo is signed by Ryhor Baradulin, there are photos signed by his mother Akulina Andrejeŭna and Uladzimir Karatkievič), the folder for the disc and photos and the gift case for the complete set.
